Biostimulator Treatments in Edmonton

Most injectable treatments add something to your face. Biostimulators do something different. They work with your body to rebuild what's been lost over time, stimulating your own collagen production for results that develop gradually and last significantly longer than traditional fillers. At The Klinik, Heyam Tarrabain, RN offers Radiesse® following a thorough medical consultation.

What Are Biostimulators?

Biostimulators are a category of injectable treatment that go beyond simply adding volume. Rather than filling space beneath the skin, they trigger the body's own collagen-producing response, improving skin quality, firmness, and structure from within.

The results are not immediate in the way that hyaluronic acid fillers are. They build gradually over weeks and months as new collagen forms. What you get in return is a result that looks and feels entirely natural, because it is. Your own tissue. Your own collagen. Just more of it.

Biostimulators are an excellent option for clients who want long-term facial restoration rather than a quick fix, and for those who want to invest in the quality of their skin rather than just the surface appearance.

All biostimulator treatments at The Klinik begin with a thorough medical consultation with Heyam Tarrabain, RN.

Radiesse® Edmonton

Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite biostimulator that works in two ways. It provides immediate volume upon injection, then stimulates collagen production over time as the product gradually integrates with the surrounding tissue. The result is both immediate and long-lasting, making it one of the most versatile biostimulators available.

Radiesse is particularly effective for restoring volume in the cheeks, jawline, and hands, and for improving skin laxity in the lower face and neck. Results typically last 12 to 18 months or longer.

Radiesse® is a registered trademark of Merz Aesthetics.

Everything You Need to Know About Biostimulators

How Are Biostimulators Different from Dermal Fillers?

Hyaluronic acid fillers add volume directly and produce immediate results that last 9 to 18 months. Biostimulators work by stimulating your body's own collagen production. The results build gradually over time and typically last longer. Many clients use both, fillers for immediate correction and biostimulators for long-term improvement of skin quality and structure.

When Will I See Results?

With Radiesse, you will notice some immediate improvement due to the volumising effect of the product, with continued improvement over the following weeks as collagen builds.  Results are worth the wait. Individual results vary.

Are Biostimulators Safe?

Yes. Radiesse is a Health Canada–approved injectable treatments with well-established safety records. As with any injectable treatment, there are risks, and Heyam will walk you through them in full at your consultation. Her 30+ years of clinical nursing experience means every treatment is approached with the medical care it deserves.

How Many Sessions Are Required?

It depends on the product and your treatment goals. Radiesse can often achieve meaningful results in a single session, though some clients benefit from two. Heyam will outline a realistic treatment plan at your consultation.

How Long Do Biostimulators Last?

Radiesse typically lasts 12 to 18 months. It tends to outlast traditional hyaluronic acid fillers significantly. Individual results vary and cannot be guaranteed.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Biostimulators in Edmonton?

Adults who are experiencing gradual volume loss, skin laxity, or declining skin quality and want a longer-term solution than traditional fillers. Biostimulators tend to appeal to clients in their late 30s and older, though candidacy is always assessed individually. Treatments are not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
